• 1 liter of water
  • 600 grams of white sugar
  • the juice of 12 med. lemons
  • the zest of one organic lemon


Heat the water up enough to dissolve all of the sugar. Let cool, add the lemon juice and zest, stir, pour into a container and freeze. Stir again after an hour and let freeze some more. It won't turn to ice (I think) because of the amount of sugar. The actual recipe calls for 1 kilo of sugar but trust me, 600 grams is plenty. You'll have to "rake" it with a fork to be able to serve it. Try it in your vodka or pour some sweet (white) vermouth in it.
